Mahavatar Babaji
The word Maha means great, and Vatar
means a Creator, thus, MahaVatar means great Creator! In Hinduism, MahaVatar
Babaji is considered one of the greatest Gods ever. He is considered a God of
love, compassion, knowledge and protection. It's believed that he was created
by Brahman himself and was born in the third eye of Shiva. His birth date was
given as being dated at 1278 AD (1279 CE). He is known as the supreme
embodiment of truth, love, peace, and justice. He is the Supreme Lord who
liberates his devotees from the cycle of birth and death. He is an avatar of
Vishnu. He is known as the father of all avatars.
In Indian mythology, MahaVatar was the first
avatar of Vishnu or Narayana. In some traditions, he is said to have been born
to Brahma just after creation, hence he is called the incarnation of Brahma.
According to the Puranas, MahaVatar came as a human baby, wearing two anklets,
and carrying a lotus flower. These were later replaced by anklets that
represent the syllable Om. After becoming incarnated, he performed penance for
14 years, finally attaining moksha by meditating under a bodhi tree (ficus religiosa).
MahaVatar is best know for saving mankind from
the clutches of the demon Narakasura through a series of battles. His weapon of
choice was his vina, a harp-like musical instrument.
He is also known for his various miracles
including helping Rama build the Ramarajya, giving Bali the power to defeat
Indra, and healing the blind King Janaka.
He is often depicted in temples and
iconography with his vina resting beside him. Many people believe that if they
bow to MahaVatar, their wishes will be granted.
What is Kriya Yoga by Mahavatar Babaji?
Mahavatar Babaji (1893-1933) was a
great sage who lived at the beginning of the 20th century. He was born in India
and came to America to spread his knowledge and teachings. He was a great yogi
and mystic who inspired several people to practice yoga. His teachings were
passed down through numerous teachers until they reached me. I am now passing
them on to you.
Kriya yoga is a technique for
self-purification through different types of breath work known as kriyas. These
kriyas are practiced for spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, and social
purification. By practicing these techniques, you can achieve inner peace,
happiness, and harmony. You can achieve enlightenment by using these methods
alone or together with other practices. There are many forms of kriya yoga
including pranayama, mudra, mantra, meditation, visualization, and mantra
repetition. Pranayama is the first step toward the goal of achieving inner
peace, happiness, balance, tranquility, and enlightenment.
In our society today, we are
constantly stressed about our relationships and financial situations. We feel
anxious about things that may never happen. We can become overwhelmed with
worry and fear, and unable to cope with daily life and its demands. When we
think about what our lives would be like if we had no worries, how free we
would feel? How much happier could we be? Our lives would change dramatically.
What if you knew that you could take care of yourself? What if you knew you
could experience true peace inside?
When you practice kriya yoga, you
learn to control your mind and focus on the present moment. Your mind becomes
quiet, and you find that you have access to infinite power and wisdom. You
develop calmness and serenity, and you begin to see that everything in your
life is exactly as it should be. You realize that nothing truly bad can happen
to you; you are protected. If something does go wrong, then you know that it is
only temporary. And finally, you come to understand that everything happens for
a reason. You discover that you are always safe and protected. You gain
confidence and trust in yourself, and you start to enjoy life again.
For years, men and women have been
seeking ways to improve their lives in order to live healthier, happier, and
more fulfilling lives. Unfortunately, most people don't take time out of their
busy schedules to do anything to make themselves happy. Most people just keep
functioning as before and expect their lives to change. It's not that way! You
CAN achieve true inner peace through kriya yoga. It is possible for everyone to
experience inner peace.
There are several different types of
kriyas that help us to reach different levels of consciousness. The following
is a list of some popular kriyas and their purposes.
Yoga Mudra - Mudras are gestures that
you use to activate certain parts of the body. In kriya yoga, mudras are used
to open the chakras and to awaken the third eye. Mudras include mula bandha,
Anuloma viloma bandha, Uddiyana bandha, Jalneti, etc.
Sadhaka Bandhana - Sadhakas are those
who seek truth and want to attain spirituality. They are seekers. They don't
have any doubts about anything, even though they may seem to be searching
endlessly. They can handle pain, suffering, and hardship without being affected
by it. They are strong and determined and have faith in God. Their focus is on
truth and reality, and they believe that truth is absolute and unchanging.
Sadhakas are able to handle negative thoughts and emotions, and they are
focused on the positive. They are unshakable and remain unaffected by outside
forces.
Pratyahara Bandhana - Pratyahara is
the withdrawal of consciousness from the senses. It is the act of turning
inward and focusing on oneself. Pratyahara works on removing excess sensory
input and helps you focus on your internal world. The sense organs withdraw
from external stimuli and withdraw from your conscious awareness in order to
enhance concentration. Once you focus on yourself, you stop thinking about
others, and instead you get involved in introspection, meditation,
contemplation, and prayer.
Dharana Bandhana - Dharana means
holding on to something. It is the holding onto a belief or idea. Holding onto
ideas and beliefs prevents you from seeing the truth. Dharana assists in
overcoming false perceptions and misconceptions. You learn to let go of old
ideas and replace them with new ones.
Samadhi Bandhana - Samadhi is the
ultimate state of consciousness. You enter into samadhi when you are absorbed
in thoughtless stillness. As long as there is activity going on in your mind,
you cannot fully concentrate on the object of meditation. When you are
completely still, you connect with the Divine Energy within yourself, and you
can receive guidance. Samadhi teaches you to detach from worldly pursuits and
to focus solely on God.
If you really want to enjoy living a
better lifestyle, then you need to start taking steps toward change. You must
learn to make changes in your diet and exercise routine. Take control of your
own destiny and learn to love yourself. Change begins with you!
Kriya MahaVatar Babaji Yoga Studies Self Care
Self-Care is the practice of tending
to our own well-being, both physically and mentally. When we care about
ourselves, it influences how we behave towards others. We tend to respond more
kindly to others and help them out where possible, whereas if we don’t take
care of ourselves we can become more likely to act unkindly. So the main aim of
self-care is to take care of ourselves first.
Kriya is Sanskrit for cleansing and refers to
anything done to cleanse your self spiritually, emotionally, physically or
mentally. In this case I am using kriya to mean yoga and meditation. Yoga and
meditation are often confused terms; however, they are two different things.
Yoga is a physical activity and something you do to gain fitness, while
meditation is a mental activity and something you do in order to clear your
mind. Both these practices have their place and time in your day, just make
sure you choose what suits you best!
Babaji means “Lord Baba”, who is
considered to be the guru (spiritual teacher) of Mahavatar Babaji and his
teachings. He was born at the end of the 18th century and died at the beginning
of the 20th century, during which he studied the ancient Vedas and Tantras.
Mahavatar Babaji is a spiritual
master who taught various yogis about meditation and breathing techniques. He
believed that a person should be able to meditate for 30 minutes uninterrupted
before going to bed at night. If you are having trouble sleeping then try this
technique – lie down and close your eyes for 10 minutes. As you breathe deeply
imagine that you are inhaling the air and exhaling the negative thoughts
leaving your body. Try not to think of any kind of negativity, simply focus on
your breath and feel the sensation of each breath entering and exiting your
lungs. Once you start feeling relaxed and comfortable, open your eyes and go to
sleep.
Studies shows that practicing mindfulness or
meditation helps us to live happier lives and reduces anxiety levels and
depression.
