Teacher-student relationship

Teachers

One way that teachers can make their students feel accepted and cared about is by making them feel special. When teachers take time out of their day to do something nice for kids, they are showing them that they care. Showing kids that teachers care is very difficult for some teachers because they may not have been taught how to treat kids right or they may not want to spend extra money on expensive toys for the classroom. However, these teachers can still show the importance of treating their students well by doing little things for them like giving them snacks at recess. Also, if a teacher does not like children, he should try teaching an age group that he likes instead of going after a certain type of child. Doing this will help him get to know each individual student and understand what kind of kid he is dealing with. He can then use his knowledge of the child's behavior and personality to teach more effectively. In addition, teachers cannot assume that because a student comes to school everyday that he/she is learning anything. If a student is coming to class late or not ready to learn, it is the teacher's job to figure out what is wrong and fix it. Even though it is hard work, the end result is that the student learns while the teacher teaches.

 Students

Students need to be treated differently than adults and children. Adults expect young people to behave in a mature manner at times and show respect for their parents, teachers or authority figures. Children have different expectations than adults. For example, a child might think that a teacher is there to teach them. The teacher could say, "You're supposed to be listening to me," and the child would respond, "I'm listening." A child will almost always listen without telling the teacher that he is listening. On the other hand, an adult may tell a child to stop talking unless he is actually speaking. By expecting the same reaction from children as they would give to adults, students will continue to act immaturely throughout their lives. To avoid this problem, teachers should explain to children what is expected of them at school and home. By taking the time to talk to students about how they can behave appropriately, teachers can set an example for others.

 School

As teachers begin working with students, they should remember that school is a place where students go to study and learn. There are rules and regulations that need to be followed and teachers should enforce them. Students also need to follow the rules and obey the teachers. The first step in establishing a good relationship between teachers and their students is to establish trust. In order to build trust with students, teachers need to acknowledge the fact that no two students are alike and that all students have unique personalities. Teachers need to accept this and adapt their lesson plans accordingly. Once teachers open themselves up to accepting differences among students, they will be able to develop relationships that are conducive to learning.

How do I know if my teacher is a good teacher?

A good teacher should ask questions in order to get students to think about what they have learned and understand it. When student respond to questions they can relate to, then they will remember the lesson. So how do we find out if our teachers are really teaching us anything? One way would be to go around the room asking everyone what their teacher taught them today. If everyone answers with something completely different then maybe they aren't actually teaching you anything at all. A better way would be to make sure you get some feedback from someone who knows you well. Ask your parents, friends, or teachers if they think your teacher is doing a great job teaching you.

The purpose of teachers is to teach students

The purpose of teachers is to help students learn. The goal of teaching should be to enable students to acquire knowledge and skills that they need to function successfully in society. Teachers do not have to be experts themselves; rather they merely guide students toward becoming knowledgeable and skilled.

Teachers should provide students with challenging assignments

Teacher's job is to challenge their students. They should give them assignments that require students to use prior knowledge to solve problems. When they do this, they are actually helping students learn. Sometimes the things we learn in school are out-of-date at the time we learn them. If we are given assignments that test our knowledge, then we can adapt to what we know and develop ideas about how to apply it. We can apply these things to real world situations and even gain practical experience. In short, we can become more educated.

Students should respect teachers

Students should respect their teachers. Teachers should treat students respectfully, never belittle them, and always encourage them to succeed. When students respect their teachers, they will listen to what they say, will follow directions, and will work hard to achieve success.

Schools should promote learning

Schools should promote learning. When schools promote learning, they make sure that their students get the best education possible. They should think of ways to create fun environments for learning. They should also ensure that students are well-rested and eat nutritious meals.

Teachers should be responsible for their actions

Teachers should be responsible for their own actions. If a teacher does something inappropriate, they should take responsibility for it. No matter the situation, no teacher should ever blame others for their mistakes. A good teacher takes responsibility for their mistakes and learns from them. They accept responsibility for their behavior and act accordingly.

Teachers should set high standards for students

Teachers should set high expectations for their students. They should expect their students to meet those expectations. When teachers set high expectations for their classes, students feel motivated to excel. High expectations lead to improved grades and higher levels of achievement.

Teachers should be role models for students

A good teacher should be a role model for his/her students. He/she should be kind, understanding, trustworthy, and fair. These qualities show that he/she respects his/her students. Role modeling helps students realize that their teachers care about them and want them to succeed.
