Indian House Plans
House Vastu Plan
House vastu means house rules, and these rules
are based on the principles of Indian Architecture (Vastu Shastra). In this
article we explain about how these rules apply to houses, including bathrooms,
kitchens, bedrooms, etc.
North-East Corner
The north-east corner is considered sacred
throughout India, and it is believed to be the abode of Lord Ganesha. If
possible, keep the door to the bathroom facing east.
Door Orientation
Door orientation should face south or west,
depending upon whether you want blessings from the sun or rainfall
respectively.
Bedroom Window & Doors
Bedrooms need to have a window facing north to
provide ample sunlight. Windows located at extreme corners may result in poor
sleep quality due to external disturbances.
Kitchen Window & Doors
Kitchen windows should face away from bed
rooms and bathrooms. A kitchen near any sleeping quarters is not recommended.
Bathroom Window & Doors
Bathrooms should ideally have a window facing
north-west direction. South-facing windows bring bad luck.
Laundry Room Window & Doors
Laundries require good ventilation. Windows
should be placed towards the back side of the room, preferably on opposite
sides.
Which is the best direction for home?
Home Farming
Home farming is a method of growing cannabis
at home. As opposed to a professional grow operation, home growers have much of
the same equipment including a grow tent, lights, fans, and water, but they
lack access to a greenhouse, specialized soil, or other growing necessities.
It's not uncommon to find some home farmers who use hydroponic systems to grow
their crops.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoor growing is a method of growing
marijuana outside, either in soil or among other plants. In this method, there
is no need for any artificial lights and all the sun is utilized. However,
plants may struggle without adequate air circulation, proper drainage, and good
quality soil. Outdoor cultivation requires a lot of space and time. It's also
not recommended if you live where extreme weather conditions occur.
Indoor Growing
Indoor growing is the practice of cultivating
cannabis indoors using a controlled environment. Artificial lighting is used to
stimulate growth and provide a consistent temperature and humidity. To create
these conditions, growers often build small greenhouses out of plastic or
glass, though these structures cost money and require electricity. Growers may
also install a fan system in order to move air throughout the structure. It is
possible to cultivate cannabis indoors year-round, but climate control is still
necessary depending on the season.
How should we plan our house as per vastu?
Plan your home according to the vastu Shilpa
Vastu Shilpa means planning your home
according to the vedic science of architecture. Vastu Shlapa provides detailed
information about how your space in your home should be designed. According to
the vastu shlapa, the direction of north-east is considered auspicious and
offers protection. So, if you have a bedroom facing east then you should not
sleep in that room. Moreover, the south-west corner of any building should
never face towards the entrance.
Check out the vastu shala to make sure that everything in your home is well aligned
A vastu shala includes special tools and
scientific methods to determine whether things in your home are in alignment.
Even though the vastu shalas may seem expensive, they can actually save you
money in the long run.
Vastu Karyakaram - Make sure that your home is built according to the vastu karayakaram
The vastu karayakaaram consists of rules and
regulations given by the ancient Indian architects regarding various aspects of
design. In order to follow them correctly, it is necessary to understand the
principles behind these practices.
Vastu Dosham - Get rid of the negative energies
Negative energies are harmful influences
present in the environment that affect humans negatively. Vastu Doshi helps you
get rid of those unwanted energies and brings prosperity in your life.
Vastu Jeevan - Build your home according to the guidelines
A good way to start building your home
according to the vaastu jeevana is to focus on the basic structure first. It is
possible to build a strong foundation even without knowing about vastu shilp.
Once the base is established, you can move forward and add more features to
your home in a manner consistent with vedic architecture.
Vastu Vidya - Learn about vastu vidya
Vastu Vidya teaches you some tips and tricks
of vastu shilp and its application in daily life. Through this course, you can
learn more about the basics of vastu shilpa and apply them in real situations.
Vastu Yoga - Do yoga to keep yourself fit
Yoga can help you stay healthy and calm. A
simple exercise like pranayama can also improve the functioning of your lungs
and heart. It is an excellent way to bring peace into everyday life.
How is Vastu Shastra calculated at home?
Space: Area (Area) or Volume (Volume)?
The space factor of a room should be greater
than three times its volume. If not then some negative influence may arise for
the human body within that particular area. If the volume of a room is great
enough then the space factor should be eight times. In case of a house, the
area factor should be 5-6 times and the volume factor 10-12 times.
Height & Width of Wall : Thickness of Walls
If the wall thickness is less than three feet
then the person residing in the room would have some problems related to
his/her health. But if the wall thickness is more than six feet then everything
will be fine. In case of houses, the width factor should be 8-10 feet and the
height 6-8 feet.
Floor Leveling
Floor leveling means the difference between
the ground level and the floor level. If the ground level is higher than the
floor level then we get disturbed by mosquitoes. And if the floor level is
lower than the ground level then we feel cold. So, make sure that the floor
levels are equal on both sides of the house.
Number of Windows & Doors: Total Number of Windows & Doors
Number of windows and doors play an important
role in our living conditions. We need to open these doors and windows to let
fresh air enter inside the rooms. All the windows and doors should be properly
fitted on their frames.
Placement of Lights : Location of Lights
Lights should be place the south west side of
the house. In order to ensure good lighting, make sure that they are installed
close to each other.
Direction of Entry Door: Location of Entrance Door
Entrance door should be located in the northeast direction. In case of houses with two entrances, the front entrance should be located in the south east direction. And the back entrance should be located in north east direction.
Orientation of Kitchen & Bathroom: Location of Kitchens & Bathrooms
Kitchen and bathroom should be located away
from the bedrooms. Make sure that kitchens and bathrooms are well ventilated.
